This is the kid of a friend of mine. This was I believe the first time I went to their house to see their kid but he was alseep almost all the time… I think I may have been late that day! 
)
Anyway, I took a few shots while he was sleeping. I remember worrying I would wake him up with the noise my camera was making… but no, he remained fast asleep!

While staying at a B&B in the South East of England I happen to take a breakfast one morning and saw a couple of very nice looking chicken running around outside… This is one of those chicken. It made me laugth the way it was walking, as if it was a very proud chicken indeed!

It was a very nice wedding I attended in Canada. They had an official photographer which was right in the front. So I didn’t want to be in the way… having said that I couldn’t resist having a go!
So I used my big 300mm lense and went up to the first 2 rows on the right hand side. I didn’t want the couple to notice me, and they didn’t!
I took this photo just after they both said “I do” and put each others ring, just before they kissed. That moment, that moment when they both look into each other eyes… was the moment I chose to take the photo…

While in Canada I was invited to a Wedding, even at the Hen night! yup that is right! a Hen night! Well, I was only there to help the owner of the house to server drinks and canape… still… It was kind of unusual to have 2 men surrounded by 50 women!
They had organised some kind of beauty treatment for the girls, one of those was a manicure. This is one of them

I managed to get a ticket on the train to Whistler through some friends in Canada. This was a great experience and a great way to get there! It lasts for a few hours and you can see a lot of the country side in between Vancouver and Whistler.
I took several shots to give this sensation of speed you get when putting your head outside the window

I like Canda, I really like Vancouver (not as good as Calgary though 
and I really really like Vancouver Island… now… I *ADORE* Hornby Island just off Vancouver Island. This is an old island traditionnally very hyppies and it has kind of remained that way. After spending a day there I was waiting for the ferry back to Vancouver Island and I started wandering around… this was just next to the ferry stop, the beach was full of oysters, giant oysters I should say! and it was kind of hard to walk on those!
To me this photo looks a million time better in black and white than it does in color… I actually don’t think I kept the color version!

While taking my parents for a walk in Richmond park we came accross a small area which… well… which I forgot the name of
It is a small gated area which I believe has the name of a princess or a queen. It has many flowers and better maintained than the rest of the park. There is a also a number of ponds, and this path was next to one of them. I just like this picture because it almost look like I was using a wide angle lens with this fake fish eye effect!

Leaving the venue at the end was an adventure by itself… 15,000 people leaving at the same time through small corridors… ontop of that there are a number of night club and restaurant within the O2 complex. This means there are long queues on those corridors making leaving the building even more difficult! there better be no fire alarm in those moments!!!
As I said in theprevious post this venue is huge and while taking a photo on a low shutter speed it created this ghost effect. All I had to do was to stay still

The O2 Arena where those fights took place is an amazing place. For a start it is huge, then it is new and finally it has been really well done! There was a few irish lads being me while I was watching the fights and taking lot of photos. I heard a few intrigued questions as I let my camera wonder and took photos of things like the lights. They wondered why I was taking of the lights rather than the fighters!
I actually prefer another similar photo where you can see the mic hanging over the fighting cage, but it only works on a big screen, not as a small image like the one above.

I really enjoy martial art, doing myself some thai boxing.
But this is nothing in comparaison to MMA fights such as UFC! I understand this is not for everybody, it is very brutal and brings the most primal feelings in the people attending such events. And still, I enjoy watching it. The atmosphere in that O2 Arena was electric with about 15,000 people there. This was not the main fight of the night but it may as well have been… the guy on the left is an english guy and he got a standing ovation from the moment he went into the octagon/cage!
I took about 300 photos that day
With this photo I wanted to capture the moment just before the fight was about to start… literally a few seconds before! you can just see the hand of the referree on the right, pointing in the direction of the english fighter and asking if he was ready to fight…
