Auto chaos

June 2008, Bangalore, India

I like the color of this photo but more importantly I think it convery very well how everything in Bangalore seems to be out of a war zone!

Almost Holding hands

June 2008, Bangalore, India

I was going through a big street market every morning when going to work and I loved to take photos of this vibrant environment… I like this photo because it is one of those moment of luck in my eyes… I like the way the man and woman although not on the same plan seem to be holding hands :)

Passing by 2 towers

June 2008, Mysore, India

This is the mosque and buddhist temple I mentioned yesterday and yes… I did wait for the guy on the bike to come into the frame before taking this photo ;)

Macro Sun dial

June 2008, Mysore, India

While on my way to Mysore my driver made me stop to many different temple on the way. This temple was a bit special because it was first a bouddhist temple then a mosque… and you could see the base of the building being different from the top, as it was build on. On the top of the roof you had a terrace with a sun dial… that’s this photo :)

This is the end

June 2008, Mysore, India

This statue was at the entrance of a small village on the top of a big hill… I think it was the statue of an old Sultan who ruled the region a long time ago… but I am not 100% sure! I should have blogged about it sooner ;)

Those 3 people where taking a photo of the statue and I just took that opportunity to sneak behind them to take this photo as if they were about to be sliced by the sword! I put an angle in the photo to give a bit of movement in it and also to only capture what mattered… the statue and the 3 people!

Intrigued look

June 2008, Mysore, India

Plainly, I like that picture. It is of course because I think that little boy looks cute with his glasses which make him look he is about to read a book… but also because of all the imperfection which I believe help conveying exactly how I took the shot…

It was a dull day, the mainly washed out colour shows that

I took that photo very quickly, almost like a paparazzi as I noticed that boy walking up I had to take my camera out of the bag. Having the arm of the man in front of the photo also shos that.

finally the cars make a nice line which help drawing attention to the main subject, even if he isn’t really centered.

August 2008, Lisbon, Portugal

This was the view from the hotel I was staying at in Portugal, this photo doesn’t really give justice to the sight of that little flat which was decorated like a cute little house lost in the middle of all those business building!

While staying at a rather nice hotel I couldn’t resist to use my underwater compact camera. Especially trying to get both a view of the surface and underwater :)

Blurry and Focus

September 2008, London, UK

I liked the apparent lightness of those lights (no pon intended ;)

Something I only noticed when I was processing that photo is that one light is in focus and the other one slightly blurred… which is a bit odd and they were both on a straight line…

Hidden retro gem

September 2008, London, UK

I am a geek, a somewhat old geek :)

So when I saw this pixel art by chance while walking on the river bank in London it made me smile and I had to take a photo! If not just for the contrast between this notion of new age/technology and the rusty pipe and old stone. I also played with a difference of field in the foreground.
