This is my favorite spot in Riverre Noire. This is where the river meets the sea. I can’t remember the name of that mountain behind though!

This lady walked past me as I was taking photos of the sea, she was holding her “sarong” in one hand and a fishrod and a handbag in the other. Not sure she was going to catch anything so close to the shore but I liked her posture!

This is an area called Rivierre Noire. The day was coming to an end and I was actually taking photos of a mountain you could see in the background behind those trees. But in the end I prefered that photos of those boats on this calm water. This is a river just before it connects to the sea.

Those live corals looked to me like Neon lights and the water was extremelly clear that day.

This photo was taken on my first snorkelling trip in Mauritius… which was also the best one! although I almost finished empalled on 1000s of oursins trying to get to the riff at low tide, it was all worth it! The coral is beautiful!

Next to a very old castle they have recreated what an old village should have looked like. The great thing about it is that they have actually either preserved old houses or constructed new ones to look like the original and that all of those houses are in use today… so when you visit them you can find a live fire, sometimes someone using the kitchen to cook some cakes for the local cafe, etc… it feels sureal… and one of the house has a nice little garden

December 2008 – St Etienne, France
I beleive I have already posted some photos of a small village called Rochetaillee, it is a very nice little village on the way to the pilat domain (a big hill covered of trees 
and with the ruins of an old castle. For the first time I actually bothered reading about the history of that castle… shame I can’t remember must about it for this post!! 
)
I took that photo after trying different things with the window on the bottom right… but in the end, this is the shot I preferred!

December 2008 – St Etienne, France.
It was a very cold day and as I was walking in the woods of the Pilat domain near St Etienne, I saw that water fall. I liked the fact you could see both liquid/frozen and moving/still water… nice contrast I thought!
Also… the thing you cant see on that photo was that this was taken on a bridge completely covered in ice!! because the waterfall was dripping water everywehere… I almost felt to take that photo!!!

Before you go underground to visit the mines of StEtienne in the Mines Museum, you see all the rooms where the people who were working there years ago had to pick up there equipement. That room was where the head lamps and associated batteries were kept

After a long day walking in the old part of Lyon and a very loooong lunch I enjoyed the quietness of those back street on a sunny sunday evening.
