Taking photos has been a passion of mine for quite some time. I started on a good old Polaroid, then got a Minolta IS-100 (which I still have!) and it is really when I started to take an interest into photography. I resisted the digital camera for some time, then in 2002 I finally gave in and bought an Olympus C50, a 5 mega pixel which introduced me to the world of digital photography. In 2005, I made my next big jump and invested in a Canon 20D.
As I love travelling this last camera has been around the world with me. I also started this website in 2008 with the aim of publishing and speaking about one of my best photos each day. I managed to do that for more than a year but it was taking too much of my time and in August 2009 I stopped blogging on this website. Although I still carried on taking photos, I started to slow down and only published the best ones on my flickr account (http://www.flickr.com/photos/35mmfrog)
But then, in December 2010 I got a Canon 5D MK II with a 24-70mm 2.8L lens which kicked back my interest in photography… I therefore had no choice but to resuscitate that photo blog, start going to the gym to be able to lift that combined monster (2.3 kilos with the extra flash!), and more importantly, get back into photography big time :o)
I will keep the original concept of this blog but carefully select the photos I’d like to show you and speak about, this means I may not be able to blog every day! If you are interested in one of the photos I publish, follow the link by clicking on it.
