February 2012 – UK, London
This is an old piece of wood with stones embedded into it and used to remove fish scales by rubbing the fish against it. It was on a wall in a London Tapas Restaurant. Actually, quite a nice restaurant so it was a bit awkward to take my camera out and shoot blind up the wall :)

January 2012 – Mauritius
After a few cocktails by the beach, I took my last one in the warm water of Mauritius… as I was playing with the empty glass I liked the effects you could see and fetched my camera. This is something I will experiement further, antoher time… I also took a photo with this glass of a small fish, which was in focis right at the bottom of the glass. But I prefer this photo, I need a better model! :)

January 2012 – UK, Esher
As I was taking this photo I overheard a couple who was sitting on a bench not too far away… the guy was saying to his partner “see, I told you there was a photo to be made there!” :)

November 2011 – UK, London
Another light, but this time with the London Eye in the background. I liked the contrast between the two lights and tried to position the white light in the center as if it was floating in this blue wheel. I spent quite a lot of time taking photos of this lampost, especially because I didn’t want to have too much light artefacts shining though the center… In fact, everyone was taking photos of the opposite side of the river, where Big Ben was light up. So I got quite a few weird looks wondering why was I wasting my time taking photo of a lampost where Big Ben was in front… In the end, none of my Big Ben shots were good, not Big Ben’s fault mind you! :)

November 2011 – UK, London
I first took a photo of the two lamps on the left, on their own, but I prefered this setup, as it kind of repeat the main two component of the photo, the round lights and the lights from the bridge. I felt that the roof also helped framing the picture, What I like about this photo is that it looks as if it was a montage… but it isn’t :)
It also looks like it is in black and white, but again, it isn’t. So that’s echoes that double theme in this photo.

November 2011 – UK, London
Taken from Embankment on my way to the London Xmas Market. I loved how those lights covered the halley way and tried to play with how spaced each line of light were, so it looks as if they come from the bottom right corner.

November 2011 – Mauritius
I was playing with shlow shutter and water movement, trying to create a water ghost effect, because of the sunset, it also created that fire like reflection!

October 2011 – UK, London
This was taken in London South Bank near Embankment. Those giant bubbles all had different shape and this one reminded me of a ghost… I framed it with the buildings and trees to give a sense of skale.

September 2011 – UK, Haslemere
This was an observation point, I straigth away noticed all those lines and wanted to create an effect with the depth of field. I just wanted to focus on one location and for the lines to be blurred giving a sense of movement in those lines…

September 2011 – UK, Hampton Court
As I was waiting for some friends to catchup with me, I waited in HEnry the VIII bed room and started to play with that door.

September 2011 – UK, London
A very nice pepper for a very nice English breakfast. This was still very early in the day and as I was eating outside the waitress offered to switch on the patio heater… I liked its reflection…

September 2011 – UK, London
This was taken from the top of a London tourist bus tour, Although the photo was originally taken in colour because of the contrast it was almost black and white anyway. I liked how to dragon, which marks the entrance to the London City, had such a sharp contrast with the cloudless sky, which is echoed by the chemineys around it… the plane trail also helps focusing the attention to the dragon, there is another line on the other side heading towards the dragon through the chemineys.
