May 2011 – France, Beaufort
I love cheese and especially beaufort, so I was very happy to visit one of their main cheese factory. Except, that going down to this cellar was almost impossible… because of the smell!! I never smelled something like it, something like Javel but so concentrate that it almost hurts to breath… As I was going down the stairs to this room I almost ran back upstairs, I am glad I didn’t!
what you see right at the back is a robot that takes each cheese, rub it on each face, salt it and put it back where it was… it does about 1 cheese every 10s… each cheese weights more than 100Kg

taking photos from the sky allows you to get unusual angles.
I wanted to capture something simple, a tree and a road. Which contrasts with all the details you can see when up there.

I tried to create a black and white contrast between the two parts of the photo, roughly divided in diagonal. The trees look like ghost, which is also emphasize by the deserted sky lift station.

May 2011 – France, Chamonix
This photo reminds me almost of an underwater shot were half the lens is outside the water.
In fact, you really felt as if you were in a different world up there.
To really appreciate this photo you need to look at it in a large format.
That house was well hidden and although at the top of a small mountain, you had to be in the air to see it. I had to wait so the sun was shinning through the clouds to lit it up properly.
