January 2012 – Mauritius
This is the last shot I took on that trip to Mauritius, on my way to the airport I stopped by the motorway to take it. There was some sugar canes in the foreground, but to get both the sun light and the sugar cane light up correctly was impossible… This was my first shot where I tried to compromise on exposure to get both. In the end, I converted it in black and white and intensified the contrast. What’s funny is that the main area of light was actually moving quite fast as on another shot it was much further right!

January 2012 – Mauritius
A calm sea for a beautiful sunset in Mauritius. After taking so many shots of sunset, sometimes you want something a bit different…

November 2011 – Mauritius
This was the first time I ever saw how Ananas were being cultivated, somehow I thought they were growing in trees, but not quite as you can see here. They are in the the center fruit of a plant. And if you want to replant an ananas, you take the fruit and put it into the ground so only the leaves come out. It was a very bright and sunny day and with the help of my polarising filter I got those nice contrasted colours.

September 2009 – Mauritius
I love sunset like these, where you can see the sun up to the last minute. I am still chasing the green light, even if I think I might have seen it once I still have failed to capture it yet. But this is a good compromise! :)

December 2011 – St Etienne, France
Walking in the St Etienne Country side on a cold day I noticed those plane trails in the sky all leading to the sun. As the sun was low, although it was still very bright you could start to make out that “comet” look. I therefore decided to take a photo with a high shutter speed to accentuate that illusion. In the end it does look as if a failling star was about to hit earth…

November 2011 – Mauritius
This is the east part of Mauritius, the wild part of the island and arguably the most beautiful. The clouds were playing with the sun and creating those bright green patches.

May 2011 – France, Calais
Nothing can beat photos after a good storm :)
This is the coast of France when leaving for the UK.

May 2011 – France, Chamonix
I stayed on the top of the aiguille du midi for about 4h, and it was magical to see those clouds coming and going… especially when they were hitting the top of mountains

April 2011 – France, Aigueze
You can almost taste the provence region from that photo with the vine just making its way through the old blue shutters.

April 2011 – France, Avignon
This is a famous bridge in France, there is even a song about it! I didn’t really know what to expect, it is a very old bridge partly destroyed. There were many people and it would be worth coming back during the winter and late in the evening to get a “lone” shot. I especially liked the cloud that afternoon!

March 2008 – Paris, France
On my way to the Louvre museum from the Arc de Triomphe, that like pond was a welcome stop… there, one can take the type to sit down, get an ice cream, read a book or play with those remote mini sailing boats…

March 2009 – Mauritius
This is my favorite spot in Riverre Noire. This is where the river meets the sea. I can’t remember the name of that mountain behind though!
