I of course did enhance the colours of that tree, however, the real colours were not so much far off! The sun was creating that golden light against the brown bark which contrasted with the grey veins and the green moss from its roots.

January 2012 – Mauritius
Starting with a few series of bird shots.
A little Cardinal bird. I was surprised it stayed there for some time, gicing me the chance to take quite a few shots. In fact, it knew the dogs were going to be fed and was waiting for his chance to get some rice! I like that shot because of how he seems to aim at the leaf in front of it… I fact, I think it was looking at me approaching!

This is a small hut on the beach in front of a nice Hotel in the South West of the Island. As I was taking photos of the sunset and looked back at the hotel and noticed that nice texture of the Hut roof and the palm tree behind.

January 2012 – UK, Esher
As I was taking this photo I overheard a couple who was sitting on a bench not too far away… the guy was saying to his partner “see, I told you there was a photo to be made there!” :)

At the top of a hill in the Claremont Park there was this tall tree which was covered in large and flat mushroom. I framed the photo so it looks as if the bottom left branch almost stick out of the picture.

That castle, which in fact is more of a manor house, was close that day, but the contrasting colours around made it still worth walking there.

UK, Surrey – November 2011
I liked the simplicity of the branch, the single web line and the drop of water.

November 2011 – Mauritius
This is the east part of Mauritius, the wild part of the island and arguably the most beautiful. The clouds were playing with the sun and creating those bright green patches.

November 2011 – Mauritius
This is where a river meets the ocean. It was the end of day and the water was very calm, there was a little boy next to me who kept asking me if he could take a photo himself… so I can’t remember if this shot, the best of the bunch, was in fact his or mine ;)

October 2011 – UK, Studland
This tres had amazing ivy growing all around it. It was difficult to show what I was seeing because of the high contrast between the shade and sun… in the end I decided to over expose the tree, take a black and white photo and play a little with contrast on the computer.

September 2011 – UK, Haslemere
This big open forest and that steep slop are just perfect for a 7 year old kid… This shot could have been taken many years ago and in many years to come… running through the forest and through the dead leaves never get old :)

This bench was no near any path and just a great place to relax… I could imagine many people have sat here and just looked at the horizon and think!
Unfortunatelly I didn’t have that luxury as I already took far too mcuh time wondering around looking for an interesting thing to shot nad my friends were waiting for me… another time! :)
